Week 6: The "perfect" trade
Week 6 offered way more tradable opportunities which saw five trades being taken, the most in a single week since starting The Journal.
This meant more practice in flagging setups, reading orderflow quickly, executing and trade management. The result: +2.28R banked.

This week was all about the waiting game. While I watched and waited for my set ups to form but unfortunately this time around, there were none that I could reliably trade which resulted in zero trades. That’
What is 'R' (and why it's good).
In trading I refer to “R” a lot. While it is basic terminology in this space, it is the single most important numbers when it comes to measuring trading performance so here's my explainer.
Week 4: Level up
This was a good week. Possibly my best week. Not only because I ended up +3.57R, but because I was actually able to make a mistake, identify the problem, and most importantly be given the opportunity to fix it very quickly. It’s almost as if feedback works.
Week 3: Just keep to the plan
Given last week's nightmare performance, I spent the week focused on executing my set up and sticking to the plan. And it paid off. I mean I'm still net negative, but finishing the week with +1.7R felt good.
