The Journal is a weekly summary of my BTC trading performance along with my notes, observations, and lessons from each week.
The goal is to document my decisions, mistakes, and observations as I build and refine my rules-based BTC trading system. Everything I share is with as much honesty and candidness as possible - the good weeks, the bad weeks, the mistakes and the wins. Did I mention the bad weeks?
Each journal entry generally follows this format:
- Performance: where I provide an overview of the number of trades taken and some key data points. As time progresses and I learn more, I’ll add/remove as needed
- What happened: a general summary of the week that was, what happened, what I experienced and how I felt.
- Key takeaways: what the week has taught me.
- Next week: what I plan on doing in the following week (in hopes of a better one).
The Journal assumes you have a general understanding of BTC trading and market terminology. Depending on how I feel, I do try to explain some things, but if there’s something like an acronym or concept you don’t understand, just look it up for now, though over time I’ll build supporting articles for more technical topics.
The Journal isn’t any form of financial advice and I’m not selling any signals or a complete trading system.
I don’t claim to have everything figured out - in fact, it’s quite the opposite. While I’ve a lot of time developing my system so far, it’s still very much still a work in progress. That’s the whole point of The Journal and I’m glad you’re here to follow the journey.
